Multimarine Services is involved in large Marine Construction and Coastal projects in Cyprus.
Multimarine’s participates in a consortium who successfully won and execute the construction of the Offshore Jetty for the Vassiliko Receiving and Regasification Terminal, the Cyprus FSRU Project. This is the largest energy infstructure project ever sanctioned in Cyprus and Multimarine is a major stakeholder. Some of the main numbers of this ongoing project include:
- Pile driving: 743 plies
- Trestles: 37 pcs
- Loop platforms: 5 pcs
- Precast poste tensioning beams: 403pcs
- Mooring Dolphins: 5 pcs
- Breasting Dolphins: 3pcs
- Loading platform: 1880m2
- Jetty deck: 21.900m2
- Concrete: 33.000m3
- Steel reinforcement: 4.000 tn
The project required Multimarine to mobilise at short notice and create a dedicated large scale assembly plant for the fabrication of 27m long post-stressed concrete beams and all concrete crossheads.
The project itself is to create a 1500m long concrete jetty destined to receive the FSRU vessel ETYFA PROMYTHEAS. As a major stakeholder in the project, Multimarine have the responsibility for creating the complete concrete topsides.
In order to provide transport of the pre-cast elements from MMS Yard, Limassol Port to offshore Vassilko, Multimarine invested in a purpose built 6000tonne ocean going barge as well dedicated project craneage which is handled by way of our comprehensive fleet of ultra-modern heavy lift crawler/mobile cranes ranging in capacity from 220 to 750t. What’s more, Multimarine operates our own pier in Limassol Port that facilitates the direct load outs of heavy and complex pre-cast structures.
Of course quality control of the deliverables is carried out to European standards providing long term reassurance.
