Fabrication of Offshore DNV Container 2.7-1

Multimarine Services Ltd completes the fabrication of an Offshore Container Frame in accordance with the DNV Code 2.7-1 for Weatherford Pipeline and Specialty Services.

The fabrication of offshore container frames required the adherence to a strict Quality Assurance & Quality Control methodology which involves the following:

  • Development of drawings in accordance with the DNV Code 2.7-1;
  • Submission of the drawings to DNV for approval;
  • Fabrication of the frame in accordance with the requirements of the DNV
  • Code and under the close Surveillance of a DNV Appointed Surveyor;

Stage 3, fabrication, required the application of a very strict Quality Inspection & Test Plan. Full material and welding traceability was maintained and all welding had to be done by DNV Certified Welders.

Finally, a full dossier was developed and submitted to DNV for verification and approval.

The high quality standards followed and achieved throughout this fabrication, demonstrate Multimarine’s ability to deliver complex fabrications under the strict requirements of the Offshore Industry and of the Classification Societies without any difficulties.
