We proudly announce that following a competitive international tender, Atlas Offshore Operations Ltd has been awarded the Contract for the Provision of Shipping Agency & Logistics Services for the SAIPEM GASTRADE Project in Alexandroupolis, Greece. The Project will consist of a Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU), a Mooring and a Pipeline system connecting the floating unit to the Greek National Natural Gas Transmission System (NNGTS).
The scope of the Contract includes the provision of shipping agency services for all project pipe carriers and pipelaying vessel, port logistics including pipe handling and the provision of pipe handling equipment, crew change and husbandry services, customs clearance & forwarding for all project cargo, and bonded warehousing.
As part of its scope of services, Atlas Offshore Operations will be responsible for arranging vessel offloading formalities, inland transportation, area preparation, offloading and stacking at the storage yard at the Port of Alexandroupolis of approx.. 27,000 tons of the subsea section of the gas transmission pipeline as well as the overall pipe loadout support during the pipelaying campaign of CASTORO 10. The company will also provide specialized personnel, pipe handling equipment including a pipe handling reach stacker, mobile cranes, extendable trailers, and other equipment to facilitate the smooth handling and load outs of all Project Cargo. The 24km subsea section of the gas transmission pipeline will have a nominal diameter of 30”.
