Description:

Multimarine carried out the following works at MV Ocean Observer during its stay at Limassol Port



  1. Fabrication and installation new railings with new posts at starboard side below the A Frame with chains connecting the existing ones to the new side railings

  2. Fabrication and installation of new rail posts with post resting tubes round the hatch cover on main deck and connecting the new posts between them with chain

  3. Fabrication and welding at the top of the "Box Core" three new brackets

  4. Erection of scaffolding at the A Frame for access to the top and for installation of a safety strap (wire rope) at the main sheave

  5. Preparing and dressing the top beam of the A Frame with timber for protecting the wire rope from sharp edges

  6. Installation of a safety strap (wire rope 30mm) at the main sheave secured at the top beam of the A Frame

  7. Supplies of:            


    3 off pipe wrenches STILSON, 24" & 18"


    1 off 30mm wire rope with hard eye ends, 10m long


     2 off shackles 13,5t


     Pipes, chain, shackles for vessel's side and hatch opening railings


     Timber and cargo straps for the top of the A Frame
