Mobilisation of Bourbon Pearl
Client:
SAIPEM UK - Sonsub Division
Vessel:
Bourbon Pearl
Description:

Multimarine is proud to announce the completion of a 25 day continuous mobilisation of the subsea construction vessel Bourbon Pearl.

Renos Phokas, Managing Director, commented “The mobilisation of Bourbon Pearl was by far the one with the highest duration that our team was ever involved at. The challenges were many throughout the 25 day duration, but my team proved once more its ability to work successfully and operate safely in a complex and challenging environment”.

During the scope of the mobilisation, Multimarine provided a strong team of 44 personnel working on 12-hour shifts (20 personnel at each shift). The team comprised of a project manager, foremen, welders, fitters, burners, fire watchers, joiners, electricians, carpenters and NDT technicians. In addition, Multimarine provided a mobile Crane 250Te, flat bed trucks, 2 forklift trucks (5te and 20te) and 250KVA generator.

Renos Phokas, concluded “The most challenging part was the fact that during the 25 day period Multimarine also had to mobilise 3 more vessels. I am glad that all activities were completed inside our client’s timeframe and without any incidents to our personnel or the environment”.
