Sustainable Development

Multimarine recognizes that our sustainability as a company is determined by how we make choices and generate results that earn the trust and support of our stakeholders - shareholders, employees, communities, governments, suppliers, partners and others.

Definition

The most widely accepted definition of sustainable development is that of the Brundtland Commission: "Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."

Sustainability the Concept

Sustainability Development lies on the 3 Ps concept, People, Planet and Profit. The interaction between the three achieves sustainability.

At Multimarine, we believe that by managing our triple bottom issues, our interactions with people, our environmental responsibilities and how we a profit, we will sustain our business at the long term while at the same time will meet our short term goals and objectives.

Our Responsibilities

We work hard to balance near-term profitability with long-term sustainability. We aim to operate our business in a manner that produces economic success, and continually improves performance in the areas of environment and social responsibility. To achieve that we have aligned our sustainability objectives with our values. These values outline issues that Multimarine needs to manage and the behaviours we need to adopt to become more sustainable.

We recognize that to become a truly sustainable company we need to follow an ongoing dynamic process where our objectives are met by managing the risks to the health and safety of our people, minimize our environmental footprint and demonstrate respect to the communities where we operate.

Finally, we aim to become the most profitable company in our service area whilst still delivering on our people and planet commitments.
