Multimarine Services Ltd introduces the fabrication of Offshore Container Frames in accordance with the DNV Code 2.7-1.

Multimarine is the only Fabrication Shop in the Eastern Mediterranean region experienced and accredited for the fabrication of Offshore Containers.

 An Offshore Container is classified as any portable unit with a maximum gross mass not exceeding 25 000 kg, for repeated use in the transport of goods or equipment, handled in open seas, to, from or between fixed and/or floating installations and ships.

The fabrication of offshore container frames requires the adherence to a strict Quality Assurance & Quality Control methodology which involves the following:

  1. Development of drawings in accordance with the DNV Code 2.7-1;
  2. Submission of the drawings to DNV for approval;
  3. Fabrication of the frame in accordance with the requirements of the DNV Code and under the close Surveillance of a DNV Appointed Surveyor;

Stage 3, fabrication, requires the application of a very strict Quality Inspection & Test Plan. Full material and welding traceability is maintained and all welding has to be done by DNV Certified Welders.

Finally, a full dossier is developed and submitted to DNV for verification and approval.

The whole process requires adherence to high quality standards and demonstrates Multimarine's ability to deliver complex fabrications under the strict requirements of the Offshore Industry and of the Classification Societies without any difficulties. The company's Quality Assurance and Quality Control Management System is a pioneer in the Cyprus Oil & Gas and Marine Industries and allows the company to complete very demanding projects to the full satisfaction of 3rd Party Verification Bodies and of our numerous clients.
